RESPONSIBILITIES OF USERS, STAFF, AND VOLUNTEERS: Everyone using the site, working, or volunteering is required to uphold Hereford Skatepark’s ethics. We expect all participants to: Follow Etiquette: Adhere strictly to basic skatepark etiquette at all times. Promote Dignity: Foster an environment where every individual is valued.Challenge Discrimination: Proactively call out discrimination, harassment, abuse, or intimidating behaviour. Ensure Safety: Look after one another and maintain collective responsibility for park safety. PARENTAL & GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision: Hereford Skatepark is an extreme sports facility, not a daycare centre or playground. Parents and guardians must actively supervise their children to ensure they follow our code of conduct. Risk Acceptance: Skateparks carry inherent physical risks. It is the absolute responsibility of the parent or guardian to manage their child's safety and well-being on site. SAFEGUARDING & WELFARE POLICY: Hereford Skatepark is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space. We prioritise the welfare of children, young people, and adults at risk. Zero Tolerance: Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. Vetted Team: All staff and volunteers working in regulated activity with children undergo enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and formal safeguarding training. Reporting Concerns: If you experience or witness abuse, inappropriate behaviour, or have any safety concerns, report it immediately. HOW TO REPORT AN INCIDENT: All reports are treated with strict confidentiality and taken seriously. In-Person: Speak directly to any staff member in the shop or café.
